1st Day

Athens – Rome, Sightseeing

Meeting at the airport and departure for Rome. Arrival, meeting with the guide for your transfer to the hotel, where we accommodate in the rooms. At noon transfer by car to the imposing Colosseum, one of the most representative buildings of the Roman Empire. From here we will start on foot our acquaintance with the «Eternal City», with our first attraction the Arch of Constantine which was built to celebrate the victory of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great over Emperor Maxentius. Walking in the Roman markets we will ascent the hill of the Capitol, today's City Hall, we will go down the stairs designed by Michelangelo to arrive in Piazza Venezia to photograph the imposing Vittoriano Palazzo, current War memorial monument. Next is the famous Trevi Fountain with its impressive fountain, being an attraction for millions of tourists from all over the world, before reaching the famous Piazza di Spagna where elegance is undoubtedly the main feature of the square, which in combination with the sunset light, the Bernini fountain, the majestic Spanish steps, an obelisk and the beautiful church really create a frame. It is no coincidence after all that haute couture houses and renowned fashion designers such as Gucci, Bulgari and Valentino have chosen to place their shops right outside the square. From here begins the famous Via Condotti with the luxurious stores of Italian and French fashion houses. Next is one of the most beautiful and charming sights in Rome, the Pantheon, a 2000-year-old temple dedicated to all the gods, so well preserved that it is still considered one of the most important architectural buildings in the Western world. Finally, our tour concludes with Piazza Navona, an oval-shaped square full of outdoor cafes, restaurants and itinerant painters adding an artistic touch. Free time to wander among the fountains of this baroque square and enjoy your coffee or food in one of the most beautiful squares of Rome. Transfer to the hotel. (the walking tour is carried out with mandatory use of headphones and costs 2 € per person).
