1st Day
Athens – Rome – Salerno
Meeting at «Eleftherios Venizelos» Airport and fly to the Eternal City, Rome. Upon arrival, board the coach and depart for Salerno and our hotel. Check-in and free time to rest or take a relaxing stroll along the Salerno seafront. Dinner and overnight stay.2
2nd Day
Salerno – Cruise Positano & Amalfi
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Salerno where we will have a magnificent cruise in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Our first visit is the picturesque Positano, a settlement-terrace in the endless blue, and free time to walk its narrow cobblestone streets. Then, departure for Amalfi, built on the moss of the bay of the same name in Costiera Amalfitana, one of the most stunning coasts in Europe. On our walking tour we will see the stately houses, the Cathedral of Saint Andrew with Byzantine, Arabic and Gothic architectural elements. Late in the afternoon return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.3
3rd Day
Salerno – Cruise Capri & Sorrento
Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning we will take the speedboat to the enchanting island of Capri. In our tour we will see Roman mansions, statues, baths, churches, and hanging staircases that end up in the sea in a lush and colorful Mediterranean vegetation that reminisces a setting of another era. We also recommend a visit to the Blue Cave. Free time and departure for Sorrento the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, with stunning views towards Naples, Vesuvius and Capri. The colorful Marina Grande, one of the most popular tourist resorts in Italy, has retained its rustic charm, original identity and unparalleled aesthetics. The secluded atmosphere of the port comes from its sheltered position, created by the promontory that separates the town of Sorrento from this wonderful hidden port. The cape was once the site of a Roman villa owned by the emperor Augustus' nephew. Return to our hotel in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.4
4th Day
Salerno – Pompeii – Naples – Rome
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the archaeological site of Pompeii, which was buried under the lava and ash of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. During the subsequent guided tour, we will see—among other sites—the Porta Marina, the ancient forum, the theater, the temples of Jupiter and Apollo, the baths, and luxurious villas featuring famous frescoes (1st century BC) that offer a comprehensive view of ancient painting. Afterward, we depart for Naples, the capital of Campania—a bustling city full of contrasts. It is the largest port in Southern Italy and the country's third-largest city, following Rome and Milan. We will explore its historic center, the largest in Europe and a designated Unesco World Heritage Site; the city once served as the capital of duchies, kingdoms, and a vast empire, particularly during the Renaissance and the Enlightenment. Our panoramic tour will take us to the Spaccanapoli district, with its narrow, picturesque alleys, as well as the busy Via San Biagio, which runs through the city. We will visit the city's Gothic cathedral—dedicated to its patron saint, San Gennaro—as well as the Castel dell'Ovo, the Royal Palace, the Galleria Umberto, and Europe's oldest opera house, the Teatro San Carlo. A tour of Naples' historic center reveals that Diego Armando Maradona—one of the greatest footballers of all time—is truly a "larger-than-life" figure: he appears in murals and massive street art throughout the city, adorns the interiors of countless restaurants alongside images of the Virgin Mary, and is even venerated like a saint in family shrines. Finally, we will head to Posillipo Hill for a magnificent panoramic view of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Return to Salerno. Dinner and overnight stay.5

Salerno – Rome – Athens
