Christmas / New Year’s Eve / Epiphany in Zurich – Alpine Train
Zurich
Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland, spreading around Lake Zurich on both banks of the Limmat River, against the background of the snow-capped Alps. The treasury of Europe with the largest banks and the most powerful financial institutions in the world’s financial lobby, is at the same time an unhealthy and extroverted city. The city with European noblework impresses with its contradictions. The city’s museums bring together artistic treasures of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, as well as pioneering trends in design. Take a boat ride to the calm waters, go up on the retro tram and look out of the windows the most beautiful parts of the city. Serve in the picturesque streets of Niederdorf and hold clubbing in one of the five hundred bars of the extremely active Zurich night.

This is where the Rhaetian Railways Alpine Train (individual expense) waits for us for our ascension –through a magnificent route that crosses the alpine landscape of the Engadin valley with forests and lakes of incomparable beauty– at St. Moritz, the most famous and aristocratic resort in the Alps. Walk to this cosmopolitan resort, feel its glamor and wealth, enjoy the unique atmosphere next to the frozen lake St. Moritzsee. Don't forget! Return by train to Chur, where after our arrival we will board at the coach for Zurich. Late evening arrival with an intermediate stop for food (individual expenses). Overnight.4th Day

We continue for the romantic capital of Switzerland, Bern, “the city of fountains”, built at a turning point of the Aare River. Arrival and tour of the city, during which we will see Parliament, the tower of the historic Clock, the imposing Cathedral and we will walk on the pedestrian streets with the medieval buildings. Optional ride on the city train (individual costs). After our tour we will depart for Saint Gallen, a historic city in northeastern Switzerland and the capital of the canton of the same name.
