1

1st Day

Athens – Rovaniemi

Meeting at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport and flight to Rovaniemi. Arrival, and immediately afterwards transfer to our hotel. Settle into the rooms and later we will all meet together at the hotel restaurant for our dinner. Overnight stay.

2nd Day

Rovaniemi – Snowmobile Safari – Reindeer Farm – Huskies Farm

Today, we will experience the ultimate Arctic adventure! We wear the special equipment and will participate in an exciting snow mobile safari. Local guides will introduce us to the snowmobiles and teach us how to operate them. We will visit the husky dog farm above the frozen river, where we will have the opportunity to ride their sled. We will enjoy coffee outdoors, prepared by the expedition leaders with the help of the participants. Next, we head to a reindeer farm to meet the reindeer up close and take a ride on their sleds. Afterwards, we will enjoy a "picnic" meal around the campfire with sausages and coffee, tea or hot juice. Return to the hotel and a sauna is a must for relaxation and sharing the day's experiences. Dinner at the hotel restaurant and overnight stay.

3rd Day

Rovaniemi – Arktikum Museum – Santa Claus Village

Rich breakfast at our hotel and transfer to the Arktikum museum, the center of Arctic history, with exhibits through which we will learn about the history, culture and lifestyle of the Lapps, as well as the entire Arctic. Next, we head to Santa Claus Village, located right on the Arctic Circle, where we’ll have the chance to chat with Santa, take photos, and perhaps even share a wish with him! Santa Claus Village is a place that feels like a fairytale, an impression one gets regardless of the season. Naturally, the first stop for everyone is his "Office," where a group of cheerful elves welcomes visitors and invites them inside for a brief chat and a photo with Father Christmas. Equally popular is Santa Claus’s Main Post Office, where his little helpers read Christmas wish lists from millions of children around the world. Even if you left your childhood behind decades ago, you will surely be tempted to send your friends a Christmas card bearing the authentic Santa Claus postmark! At the post office you will also find a wide variety of Christmas CDs and souvenirs, all themed, of course, around Santa Claus. Those interested can visit Santa Park, a Christmas-themed amusement park that makes for a delightful outing for our younger guests! Visit Snowman World to admire the unique ice and snow sculptures and participate in all the activities of the area, which will thrill young and old, such as ice skating, snowboarding lessons, snow sculpting and even ice slides! Lunch follows at the one-of-a-kind Ice Restaurant, located right on the Arctic Circle and next to Santa Claus. Transfer to our hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

4th Day

Rovaniemi – Ranua Zoo – Helsinki

A rich breakfast at our hotel and with a journey through the pure white landscape we will be transported to the northernmost Zoo in Europe, Ranua. Here, we will encounter animals adapted to Arctic conditions, such as wolves, wildcats, red foxes, snowy owls, and the polar bear. We will enjoy lunch at the unique Ice Restaurant, located right on the Arctic Circle and next to Santa Claus. Afterward, we will transfer to Rovaniemi Airport for our flight to Helsinki. Upon arrival in the Finnish capital, we will transfer to the hotel, check in, and have dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay.

5th Day

Hensinki Tour – Optional Excursion in Tallinn

After breakfast we start our tour of the city of Helsinki. Among other things, we will see the icebreakers of the Finnish fleet, the presidential palace and the open-air market in the port, the Uspenski Orthodox Temple, the Senate square with St. Nicholas Cathedral, the Olympic Stadium, the Opera House, the shipyards, the monument of composer Sibelius and the famous church of the rocks. Our tour will end with a meal in a restaurant the city central. In the afternoon, stroll down the city's sidewalks and enjoy your coffee at the Esplanade. After dinner continue your night at the Storyville jazz club or one of the city's many bars or discos. Overnight. Optional excursion to Tallinn: Transfer to the port in the morning and departure by catamaran. Upon arrival at the port of Tallinn, we will meet our guide and discover the fairytale-like, romantic capital of Estonia. The tour begins with a visit to Kadriorg Palace Park and the grand Birgitta seaside promenade. We will continue to Toompea Hill, the Estonian Parliament, and the ornate Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, built during the era of the Russian Empire. From the top of the hill, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the city, with its towers, tiled roofs, and picturesque squares. As we move from the Upper to the Lower Town, we will see the heavy gate that was closed every night to separate the two districts, and we will walk through the area's narrowest alley. After passing by the church of the Holy Spirit and Saint Nicholas, we will head to the only Gothic town hall in Northern Europe and walk through the medieval part of the lower town, a place untouched by time. Lunch at a local restaurant in the Old Town. Free time to wander around the beautiful city – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cobblestone streets, pointed towers, sloping roofs, and stunning churches create a unique medieval setting. Transfer to the ship for our return to Helsinki in the evening. Dinner at the ship's impressive buffet. Arrival in Helsinki, transfer to our hotel, and overnight stay.

6th Day

Helsinki – Athens

Breakfast and transfer to Helsinki airport and return flights.

Optional Excursions

  • Evening excursion to the Northern Lights: The Northern Lights can be seen in Finnish Lapland. Our position in the Arctic Circle gives us the best chance of seeing it. Our guide will take you out of town to get to the best spots to enjoy a Finnish picnic under the lights of the North Lights. Duration: 3 hours. Includes: Bus transportation, excursion meal with sausages, sweets, hot drinks and informations about Northern Lights from the local guide. Price: 100 € adult / 70 € for children from 4 to 14 years.
 
  • Optional excursion to Tallinn: 145 € adult / 120 € child up to 11 years (includes Helsinki – Tallinn – Helsinki ferry tickets, transfers to Helsinki and Tallinn, Tallinn tour, meal and dinner).

  • Due to the weather conditions in the area, the flow of the program may change if this is deemed necessary for the better service of the group.
  • The triple rooms are double with the addition of an extra bed.
  • Every person driving a snowmobile must be over 18 years old and have a valid driving license with him.
  • Each participant in the snowmobile safari will be given the necessary clothing and equipment including: Overalls, boots, wool socks, gloves, scarf, fullface and helmet.
  • Children up to 14 years of age sit on a sled pulling the snowmobile driven by a local escort for safety reasons.
  • For younger children it is recommended that one parent sit with the child on the sled for their comfort and safety.
  • Children over 14 years of age and over 140 cm high can sit behind their parents in a snowmobile while paying the price of an adult.
  • The program is indicative. The final trip program will be given to you three days before your departure.
  • The range of tours can be changed for better execution of the program without missing any of them.
  • Passport or new type ID is necessary for all excursions in Europe.
  • Children up to 12 years old are travelling only with passport.
