2nd Day

Snowmobile Safari – Huskie Dogs and Sleigh Ride

Today, after a rich Christmas breakfast buffet, we wear the special uniforms, helmets, gloves, and following the instructions of local leaders we will participate on a snowmobile safari over frozen lakes and rivers into the woods in order to reach the Husky Farm. We take great care to dress comfortably and warmly. In Lapland, the long snow season and the natural ease of the trails make this sport irresistible! The vast network of trails, passing through wilderness areas, forests, frozen lakes and over rough snow and frozen rivers, adds even more beauty to the experience! As we arrive at the farm, the wonderful and adorable cute huskies are all waiting for us to be friendly and play with us by shaking our tail! If we are lucky, they will kiss us in the face, or puppies will fall asleep in our arms as we caress them! We will hear stories from their caregivers and we will love these amazing animals as well, then we will drive the sleds after we are first given technical instructions for our safety by qualified leaders (in English). Sleigh Ride, a traditional means of transport from the Siberian region, is an unforgettable experience. Around the fire we will enjoy an “Excursionist” lunch with bread and sausages and coffee, tea or hot juice. A prerequisite for the driver of the sledge is to have a driving license. Please bring your driving license with you in case it is requested. If the conditions so require, the route for the safety of the excursors may be modified (eg in case of extremely low temperatures). Vehicles are 2.5 years on average and include fuel! Evening dinner in the restaurant where we will enjoy our festive buffet.

The first stop of all is, of course, his «Office», where a group of happy elves welcomes the people and invites them inside for a little chat and a photo with the Father of Christmas. Equally popular is «Santa Claus's Post Office», where his little helpers read the Christmas orders of millions of children around the world. Even if you have left your childhood for many decades, you will surely be tempted to send your friends a Christmas card with the original Santa Claus stamp! In the Post Office you will also find a wide variety of Christmas CD's and souvenirs, all of them centered around Santa Claus of course. Anyone who wants can visit Santa Park, a Christmas theme park, which is an interesting choice for our younger friends! Visit Snowman World to admire the unique sculptures of ice and snow and participate in all the activities of the area that will delight young and old alike, such as ice skating, snowboarding, snow carving and ice slides! Meal at the one of its kind Ice Restaurant, right on the Arctic Circle and next to Santa Claus. The restaurant is located in the village of Santa Claus in Rovaniemi.
