1

1st Day

Athens – Levi

Meeting at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport and direct flight to Rovaniemi. Arrival, and immediate board the coach for the transfer to Levi, with a stop for meal along the way. Arrive in Levi and check into the hotel. Levi is actually the name of the hill, while the village itself is called Sirkka. This ski resort has developed into one of Finland's premier and most popular destinations. It hosts major events, competitions, and ski exhibitions, and features numerous nightclubs, excellent restaurants, and beautiful hotels—all situated within a compact area where everything is within easy reach. Dinner at the hotel restaurant and overnight stay.

2nd Day

Levi – Snowmobile Safari – Huskies Farm

Breakfast at the hotel and today we wear special equipment and, following the instructions of the local leaders, we will participate in an exciting snowmobile safari. In Lapland, the long snow season and the natural terrain of the trails make this sport irresistible! We will follow a route through areas of wild natural beauty, traversing forests and frozen lakes, and crossing rugged snowy expanses and frozen rivers. Next, we arrive at the husky farm. Magnificent and adorable Siberian and Canadian huskies await us eagerly; at the farm, we will have the opportunity to hear stories from their caretakers. Afterward, we will go for a sled ride, following safety instructions provided in English by expert guides. This sled ride using a traditional mode of transport originating from Siberia will be an unforgettable experience for us all. We will enjoy a light meal with coffee, tea, or hot juice around a campfire. Return to the hotel. In the evening, we will be transferred to a traditional Lappish restaurant situated on the banks of the Ounasjoki River, 8 kilometers from the center of Levi and nestled deep within the snowy Lappish landscape. Upon arrival, we will welcome you with a drink! Santa Claus will arrive on his sleigh with his faithful reindeer to distribute gifts to the children. Guests of all ages can take photos with him, followed by a lavish Christmas Eve buffet dinner. This Christmas Eve will be a memorable experience for everyone. Overnight stay.

3rd Day

Levi – Reindeer Farm – Spa

Christmas breakfast at the hotel. In the early afternoon, we depart for the reindeer farm, where we will pet and feed Santa’s beautiful four-legged friends and enjoy the thrill of a reindeer-drawn sleigh ride through the forest. We will enjoy a “picnic” meal around the campfire with coffee, tea or hot juice. Return to Levi. In the afternoon, we will relax at the Levi Spa hotel spa, enjoying the sauna, swimming, a workout, or the hammam. In the evening, a Christmas buffet dinner at the hotel restaurant, followed by an overnight stay.

4th Day

Levi – SnowVillage – Arktikum Museum – Rovaniemi

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Later, we depart for SnowVillage. Every year, towards the end of November, around a thousand truckloads of snow and ice are transported to build the village, which features a unique design and layout each time. It covers an area of ​​approximately 7,500 square meters, featuring restaurants, bars, a hotel, a lobby, various buildings, and sculptures, all constructed entirely from snow and ice. We then depart for Rovaniemi, stopping for lunch along the way. Upon arrival in the capital of Lapland, we visit the Arktikum Museum, a center dedicated to Arctic history, where exhibits offer insight into the history, culture, and way of life of the Sami people and the Arctic region as a whole. Transfer to our hotel and check-in. Dinner and overnight stay.

5th Day

Santa Claus Village – Snowman World – Santa Park – Rovaniemi

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Santa Claus' village right on the “imaginary” Arctic Circle, where we will have the opportunity to talk to him, take photos and perhaps express a wish to him! The first stop in the village is, naturally, his «Office», where a group of cheerful elves welcomes visitors and invites them inside for a brief chat and a photo with Father Christmas. Equally popular is «Santa Claus’s Main Post Office», where his little helpers read Christmas wishes from millions of children around the world. Even if you left your childhood behind decades ago, you will surely be tempted to send friends a Christmas card bearing the authentic Santa Claus postmark! You will also find a wide variety of Christmas souvenirs at the post office. Those interested can also visit Santa Park, a Christmas-themed amusement park that offers an exciting experience for our younger friends. Next, we visit Snowman World to admire the unique ice and snow sculptures and take part in activities such as ice skating, a snowboarding lesson, snow sculpting, and ice slides. Afterward, we will enjoy a hot meal at the one-of-a-kind Ice Restaurant, located right on the Arctic Circle and next to Santa Claus. Late afternoon transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

6th Day

Rovaniemi – Athens

Today, the last day of our trip, we bid farewell to Finland with many memories. The morning is free for a short stroll. At midday, we transfer to the airport for our return flight to Athens.

Optional Excursions

  • Evening excursion to the Northern Lights: The Northern Lights can be seen in Finnish Lapland. Our position in the Arctic Circle gives us the best chance of seeing it. Our guide will take you out of town to get to the best spots to enjoy a Finnish picnic under the lights of the North Lights. Duration: 3 hours. Includes: Bus transportation, excursion meal with sausages, sweets, hot drinks and informations about Northern Lights from the local guide. Price: 100 € adult / 70 € for children from 4 to 14 years.
 

Notes

  • Every person driving a snowmobile must be over 18 years old and have a valid driving license with him.
  • Each participant in the snowmobile safari will be given the necessary clothing and equipment including: Overalls, boots, wool socks, gloves, scarf, fullface and helmet.
  • Children up to 12 years of age sit on a sled pulling the snowmobile driven by a local escort for safety reasons.
  • For younger children it is recommended that one parent sit with the child on the sled for their comfort and safety.
  • Children over 12 years of age and over 140 cm high can sit behind their parents in a snowmobile while paying the price of an adult.
  • Due to local weather conditions, the program schedule may be altered if deemed necessary to better serve the group.
  • The triple rooms are double rooms with the addition of an extra bed.
  • Passport or new type ID is necessary for all excursions in Europe.
  • Children up to 12 years old are travelling only with passport.
