Maldives
The Maldives is an island nation of 26 atolls and 1.192 coral islands in the Indian Ocean, 700 km southwest of Sri Lanka. It is the smallest Asian country, the smallest Muslim nation and at the same time, the journey that every initiate must have already made. In Sanskrit –as it is supposed– the word “maladvipa” means «garland of islands». That’s what the Maldives is: a quirky collar in the Indian Ocean! Intoxicating «Sirens» complex! Islands full of coconut palms, white beaches and turquoise lagoons, warm waters with coral reefs and tropical climate all year round. The best destination, the perfect holiday trip, the most luxurious conditions. Ideal destination for newlyweds and demanding bon viveur.
The capital is Male, a city of just over 100.000 inhabitants, which occupies an entire islet. Whitewashed buildings with blue windows, impressive mosques and bazaars in the narrow streets reminiscent of a labyrinth dominate the scene. Visit the National Museum, you will be impressed by the exhibits that highlight the past of the Maldives.
But in the Maldives you did not come to go to museums and archeological sites… Destination on your trip to the Maldives is one of the more than 70 islands with high tourist infrastructure. After Male then, paradise splits into smaller paradises. There you are transported by seaplanes or speedboats. In them you will lie on golden sands under coconut trees, you will dive in the crystal clear waters to admire the colorful massive coral formations. You will explore ancient shipwrecks and swim next to skates and sea turtles… Remember however, that underwater fishing is prohibited so as not to disturb the rare wetland. You will tour with the donni, the traditional wooden boats, to some of the hundreds of pristine islands or you will make excursions with glass-bottomed boats to enjoy the magic of the seabed.

Arrival in Maldives: Male
Arrival at Male International Airport of the quirky island country, with the smallest Muslim nation. In Sanskrit - as their name implies - the word "maladvipa" means "island garland" and this is exactly what the Maldives is like: a peculiar collar in the Indian Ocean! An intoxicating complex of 26 coral islets, which are divided into thousands of small atolls, many of which are set in luxury exotic resorts, some only for the use of inland traffic or as operational stations with airports or health centers and others uninhabitable. Reception by the hotel representative and guidance for the necessary transfer to the island of your choice. The type of transfer depends on the distance between Male airport and the island where you will stay for the rest of the stay. Speedboat, seaplane or even a combined transfer by domestic flight and boat, all offer an idyllic route to one of the many dream islands / hotels in the country. Arrival and installation at the hotel. Overnight.

Acquaintances with the beauties of the island
Breakfast at the hotel. Whatever your choice, one thing is for sure: the scenery is so magical that time is running out! As absurd as it sounds, here one realizes the supremacy of absolute inaction that we all need for a while, like a short break from the modern and destructive rhythm of life. Day with a relaxed mood on the white sand of the private beach of the hotel. Overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day with optional leisure activities offered by the hotel. Indicative: Snorkeling in the warm turquoise lagoon of the coral reef around the island. Overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day with optional leisure activities offered by the hotel. Examples: Sunset (dinner), Cruise - nothing more idyllic than a mini-cruise overlooking the sunset. Overnight.

7th Day
Return from Maldives: Male
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for selected small pleasures provided by the island, before transfer to Male International Airport. The exact departure time is set the night before in consultation with the hotel and is set as much as possible at the most appropriate time based on the scheduled flight. Optionally, if time permits, a tour of the city of Male for a walk to the main bazaar (by taxi-boat to / from Male airport). Optional short stay at Hulhule Hotel, just 5 minutes from the airport (various packages are available with minimal luggage storage and airport transfers or more enriched with extra Wi-Fi, swimming pool, changing rooms with shower or room). Then, return flight (via stopover).
