Zanzibar
Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania in East Africa with a population of just over 1 million. It consists of numerous small islands and two large ones: the main island of Unguja (Zanzibar) and Pemba. The capital is Zanzibar City, while its historical center is Stone Town, which is a World Heritage Site.
The enchanting white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters mesmerize visitors, while the blend of African, Arabic, Indian and European cultural elements makes the local culture unique!
The wide variety of settlers and traders from all over the world and the famous spice plantations (mainly cloves, cinnamon and black pepper) not only influenced the development of the islands but also created a distinct local cuisine worth trying.

1st Day
Departure from Greece – Zanzibar
Early morning flight to Zanzibar, procedures at the airport (visa – customs) and midday arrival at our hotel. Arrangement of rooms and time to rest. Dinner will be served inside the hotel.

2nd Day
Zanzibar: Full day tour Zanzibar, Stone Town, Jozani National Park, Zanzibar City
After breakfast we will meet our guide and depart for Jozani National Park, famous for the rare red colobus monkey and Zanzibar leopard. We will visit the jungle with long-lived trees and learn first hand the flora and fauna of the area. We will continue to Zanzibar's capital (Stone Town), to learn about the island's rich cultural heritage, where Arab, Indian, Persian and European influences blend with local African tradition. Our guide will take us through the history and mythology of the place as we wander the alleys of the historic buildings with elaborately carved wooden doors shaded by balconies and we will learn about Princess Salme, Bulsara and Vi Quito. Then we will visit the famous market of Darajani city, the former slave market, Forodhani Gardens with a view of the House of Wonders, the Sultan's Palace and the old fort. For those who want to buy souvenirs, the guide will show you art shops and handicrafts. The rest of the afternoon until early evening will be at your disposal to see the action of the beach up close with the local acrobats performing with dances and songs or to relax in the local bars. Return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

3rd Day
Zanzibar: Free day
Free day for swim on the white beaches of the island or relax in the hotel pool. For those who want to continue the exploration we recommend a cruise-tour to Prison Island (former prison) or an educational walk to the spice plantations where we will learn both about spices and little secrets of the local cuisine!

4th Day
Zanzibar – Sea Safari
White sand beaches, dolphins, snorkeling in coral reefs and crystal waters that will enchant you. We will replenish our energy with a seafood barbeque lunch. The safari continues to the island of Kwale where you can visit the mysterious Baobab tree and enjoy swimming on the island's famous beach that will remind you of the Maldives. Return to your hotel.

5th Day
Zanzibar: Rest day – Beach party at a famous bar
Free day for swimming and relaxation! It's our last day in Zanzibar, so don't miss a stroll around the area for souvenirs and photos but save energy for your evening entertainment at one of the famous beach bars!

6th Day
Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire (Safari 1st day)
After an early breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar airport for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival you will meet our local representative and enjoy your picnic lunch directly in Tarangire National Park, well known for its elephant population. Here you will have the unique experience of the traditional way of life of the Maasai and their harmony with nature. Tarangire offers unparalleled views of game animals and during the dry season (June – October) elephants abound. Families of pachyderms play around the ancient trunks of baobab trees and strip acacia bark from the thorns for their afternoon meal. The amazing view of the Masaai steppe and the mountains to the south make the stop at Tarangire an unforgettable experience, we continue the drive to Karatu which is a few kilometers from the Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge.

7th Day
Tarangire (Safari 2nd day) – Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater
Breakfast early with your picnic lunch from Karatu village, just a few kilometers from the Ngorongoro Crater Park gate, we will drive you to the base of the crater, one of the wonders of the world. Have fun with the photo safari inside the crater until late at night with the chance to see all five large mammals (lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, hippos) and many other preys. Then we return for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge.

8th Day
Tarangire (Safari 3rd day) – Karatu – Lake Manyara – Zanzibar
After breakfast, we transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its lush green landscape, variety of birds, tree climbing lions, hippo baboons and many other wildlife. Roam around in the cars until noon and then we return to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar, on arrival meet our agents again until the return flight departs!
