1st Day

Departure from Greece – Bangkok

Departure from Athens by flight via a stopover and arrival the next day, in Bangkok.

2nd Day

Arrival in Bangkok

Arrival in Bangkok, reception, transfer and accommodation at the hotel. Bangkok is the largest and most populous city in Thailand. It is also called «Venice of the East», due to the tributaries that cross the city. With a population of over 8 million, the vibrant capital of Thailand is one of the most exotic cities in the world, an incredible blend of tradition and modernity. The first impression from Bangkok is the feverish traffic and the tall skyscrapers, but in combination with the glow of an ancient tradition with countless dazzling temples, royal palaces, state-of-the-art shopping malls, countless restaurants that will satisfy even the most demanding palate, but also special night entertainment. Discover it! Overnight.

3rd Day

Bangkok – City tour

Breakfast and city tour with a visit to the Royal Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Next follows a boat ride (by speedboat) on the canals of the Chao Phraya river, and a visit to the Temple of Dawn “Wat Arun”. Lunch during the trip to a local restaurant. Overnight.

4th Day

Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Lopburi – Phitsanulok

After breakfast, departure by coach to Northern Thailand, with final station Pitsanulok. Stop at the former summer residence of the Ayutthaya kings with a visit to the Palace. We continue to the city of Lopburi. Visit to the 3-tower Temple “Phra Prang Sam Yod” with the impressive ornaments and the Hindu Temple “Sarn Prakarn” with the sanctuary of the goddess Kali. A meal at a local restaurant follows. Then we head to Phitsanulok. Overnight.

5th Day

Phitsanulok – Sukhothai – Chiang Rai

Breakfast and then we depart by coach to Sukhothai, the first capital of the Kingdom of Thailand, which is under UNESCO protection. Visit to the Temples “Wat Sra Sri” and “Wat Sri Chum”. We continue to Sri Satchanalai park, followed by lunch and a tour of the most important sights of the area. Final route to Chiang Rai. Overnight.

6th Day

Chiang Rai

After breakfast, all-day excursion with lunch on the way to a local restaurant. The route to the north of Thailand is impressive. Crossing green hills we reach the villages of Akha and Yao, known for their exotic tribes, with the northernmost point being Mae Sa on the border of the country. Stop for lunch and then continue to the center of the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos, the famous “Golden Triangle”. For those who wish, optional boating on the Mekong River. Visit to the provincial city of Chiang Saen, at the river banks. Return to the hotel and overnight.

7th Day

Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai

Breakfast and then departure by coach to Chiang Mai. Excursion to the Mae Ka Chan area, known for its thermal springs. The scenic route continues crossing hills and lush jungle areas. Shortly before our arrival in Chiang Mai, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Then, we visit the Temple “Wat Phra Dhat Doi Suthep” at the top of the homonymous hill with the golden Pagoda, the statues of Buddha and the sacred altars. In the evening, dinner “Kantoke” (menu of Northern Thailand) and traditional dance theater. Overnight.

8th Day

Chiang Mai

After breakfast, full day excursion with lunch on the way to a local restaurant. Initially, stop at an elephant sanctuary and optionally ride an elephant. Then we visit a farm with orchid and butterfly cultivation and then lunch at a nearby local restaurant. Later, a visit to traditional settlements and villages in the area, a source of handicrafts throughout the country. Handmade handicrafts, silk woven, colored paper umbrellas and wooden crafts are available for purchase. Return to the hotel and overnight.

9th Day

Chiang Mai – Greece

Breakfast and transfer to the airport for the return flight to Athens.
