VENICE

Venice is a city built on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and joined together by bridges. It is located in the homonymous marshy lagoon stretching along the coastline between the estuaries of the Po and Pia River. Venice is renowned for the beauty of its location, its architecture and its works. The entire city is listed as a World Heritage Site along with its lagoon.

SCHEDULE

1st Day

ATHENS – VENICE

Meeting at Eleftherios Venizelos airport and flight to Venice. Arrival in the «Queen of the Adriatic», the unique Venice with the indolently canals, the most searched jazz bars and the picturesque islands around, transfer and check in at the hotel. If there is time available, do not be afraid to get lost in the labyrinthine alleys, as you will experience a Venice more truth and coexist with the locals in their everyday lives.
2nd Day

VENICE (CITY TOUR)

Breakfast and today, accompanied by a Greek-speaking tourist guide, you will get to know the magnificent Venice, the city with 118 islands, 160 channels and 400 bridges, the home of Casanova and the traveler Marco Polo. The famous Bridge of Sighs, the Tower of Clock, the St Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace square where Italian painters are housed, will be thrilled by the streets between the canals. Afternoon free at your disposal. Enjoy a dreamy gondola ride (individual cost) and take a picture of the famous Rialto Bridge with its small shops and impressive view of Gran Canal.
3rd Day

VENICE (OPTIONAL EXCURSION IN VERONA)

Breakfast and free day at your disposal. We suggest (individual cost) to take a trip to the city, where the greatest literary love, that of Romeo and Juliet, was born and died. A city that is flooded with romance and picturesqueness, which is not the river that crosses it, the countless impressive Catholic churches and the Renaissance buildings and monuments that decorate it, but it is the way they are all "tied" together. The Verona Arena is the most central attraction since it is the world's most well-preserved empire. Then it follows the UNESCO World Heritage site of Juliet is home to the famous balcony where the Shakespearean love story began. Walking from the central square of Bra through Mancini Street with elegant shops leads to the beautiful Piazza delle Erbe with the open-air market, and the equally picturesque Piazza dei Signori, which at its weekends hosts its own local market with local food and drinks. Return to the hotel.
4th Day

VENICE – ATHENS

After breakfast, check out of the rooms & bid farewell to the beautiful Venice until your transfer to the airport for return to Athens.
