LONDON

London is the capital of the United Kingdom, as well as a global city, and is the second largest economic center on the planet after New York. The global influence of the city derives from the influence on world affairs in politics, economics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, arts and culture in general. The metropolitan area of London is the largest in Europe and is estimated to be about 12 to 14 million people. Such a huge metropolitan area could not lack a highly organized metro system, which is the oldest in the world and the second most extensive after that of Shanghai. But London’s distinctions do not end here as London has the busiest airport. However, a visit to London is not just a visit to a big city but a visit to the modern history of Western culture, so London is also at the forefront of tourist arrivals world-wide.
