Rhodes, also known as “The Island of Knights” is one of the most popular travel destinations in Greece. In the southeastern corner of the Aegean, one of its largest islands, both in size and population. It is no coincidence that the island was one of the first to be used for tourism, since its nature as well as some unique sights, such as the medieval city of Rhodes, make it unique. What will surely draw your attention to Rhodes is the green landscape. Although the island is not particularly mountainous, every big and small hill descends all green to the sea, harmoniously bordering on the blue of the Aegean Sea. In every corner you will find a small or big church with its own history, while there are countless paths to discover the island by car or hiking. From your exploration you cannot miss the unique Butterfly Park in Greece, where you will admire this particular phenomenon that is happening on the island. You will climb to the top of Prophet Elias to enjoy the enchanting route by taking a stop at the homonymous chapel, while descending you can pass through the Kallithea Springs, then move further north to reach Filerimos hill. A Greek island could only have beaches, which in the case of Rhodes are excellent and most of them well organized for many years. On the island, which was one of the first to experience tourism development, they know well how it is to welcome thousands of visitors every summer and that is why there is the corresponding infrastructure, which in some places is addressed to mass tourism.
