The island of Leros is located in the northern Dodecanese a few miles south of Patmos. It has everything we want from a Greek island – beaches, fishing villages, taverns, ancient and an exceptional modern history. The capital is Platanos, located to the east of the island. The island, although small, has many settlements and beaches for every taste. Organized beaches can be found in Alinda, Panteli, Vromolithos, Gourna, Xerokampos, Blefouti, and Two Lisgaria. In most of them you can find tavernas and canteens as well as umbrellas with sun loungers. Leros has several tourist facilities and a quite interesting nightlife, therefore the island has become a very interesting tourist destination over the years.
