1st Day
Athens – Munich – Nuremberg (tour)
Meeting at the airport and flight with Sky Express or Lufthansa to Munich. Arrival in the Bavarian capital and departure for the medieval jewel of Franconia, Nuremberg, the city that associated its name with the renaissance, religious reformation, science and humanism during the 15th and 16th AD. century. The main representative of this era was Albrecht Dürer, one of the most important painters, engravers and theorists of the Renaissance. The city also has its name associated with the famous «Nuremberg Trial», which marked the end of World War II with the conviction of top German officials for crimes against humanity. Arrival and tour of the city, during which we will admire its impressive fortifications, see the imposing complex of City Hall buildings on the historic Marktplatz, as well as the impressive churches of St. Lawrence and St. Sevaldos, the historic Nursing Home of St. Spirit on the banks of the Pegnitz river and the imposing Kaiserburg castle. Free time and return to Munich. Transfer and check-in at our central hotel. Overnight stay.2
2nd Day
Munich (city tour)
Breakfast and departure for the walking tour of the historic city center, where among other things we will visit the impressive Marienplatz to see the old Town Hall of medieval architecture, as well as the clock of the imposing new Town Hall with its 32 colorful figures moving to the sounds of 43 bells twice daily. We will then visit the Viktualienmarkt outdoor food market, the Frauenkirche Cathedral, which is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and admire the Residenz Palace from the outside. Free time. Overnight stay.3
3rd Day
Munich – Salzburg (tour) – Munich
This morning we will depart for Salzburg, the fairy-tale city that was the setting of the legendary film «The Sound of Music» and was the birthplace of Mozart. The «Castle of Salt», as is the exact translation of its name, during the Roman era saw great economic growth due to «white gold», i.e. mineral salt. Upon arrival we will start our tour from the Mirabell Palace with its wonderful gardens. After crossing the river Salzach, we will reach Getreidegasse, the main shopping street of the superbly preserved old town Altstadt. We will walk through the narrow streets to admire the beautiful buildings, temples, as well as the impressive Hohensalzburg Castle, which dominates the hill above the city. Among elegant boutiques and showcases of porcelain dolls is the house where the most important musical genius of all time, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791), was born and is now a museum with interesting personal and family items. Free time and return to Munich. Overnight stay.4
4th Day
Munich – Wattens – Swarovski Museum – Innsbruck – Munich
Morning departure for Wattens, where we will visit the one-of-a-kind Swarovski museum – a journey into the magical, wondrous, fairytale world of the famous crystals. We will tour the glittering corridors and «Halls of Wonders» of a space that combines creativity, innovation, art and fun! And of course, the Crystal World has a huge store, where the visitor can purchase some of his unique creations. We will then depart for Innsbruck, where during our lunchtime tour we will see the city's baroque architecture buildings, squares, the main boulevard Maria Theresienstrasse, the Golden Roof, St. James's Cathedral, the Hofburg Palaces, the Maximilian Mausoleum, the Arch of Triumph, etc. Free time and return to Munich. Overnight stay.5
5th Day
Munich – Neuschwanstein Castle – Oberammergau – Munich
Morning departure for a wonderful route in the Bavarian Alps starting with the imposing and majestic Neuschwanstein Castle, which dominates the hill, surrounded by densely forested mountains and two large lakes. It is the first and most famous of the three castles of the Bavarian King Ludwig II, which was also used as the model for Sleeping Beauty Castle – Disneyland's trademark. After a tour of this amazing palace, we will depart for the picturesque, fairy-tale village of Oberammergau, world famous for its painted houses and especially for the theatrical representation of the Passion of the Christ every 10 years – a promise made in 1633, in a last ditch effort to stop the sweeping plague. Walking, we will see and admire the brightly painted walls, where religious themes are depicted, representations of everyday life in the countryside and mainly from the world of fairy tales and German legends. Return to Munich. Overnight stay.6

Munich – Athens

Notes

- The above excursions and visits may take place in a different order, without omitting anything from the above.
- Optional excursions are organized under the responsibility of the collaborating local agent and their execution depends on the number of participants as well as the availability / price of coaches.
- Triple rooms in all hotels are, in essence, double rooms with an extra bed. Usually they are not particularly comfortable and the extra bed can be smaller than the regular ones or a sofa or a folding one.
- The rooms are usually delivered by the hotel between 15:00 – 17:00 and are available to the occupants until 10:00 – 12:00 on the day of departure (depending on the policy of each hotel).
