1st Day

Departure from Greece – Havana

Meeting at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos international airport and departure with destination to Havana. There the representative of our office in Cuba will be waiting for you, who will accompany you to your hotel, arrangement in your rooms and overnight stay.

2nd Day

Havana (city guided tour)

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for our rich and informative guided tour of the most beautiful city in the Caribbean. We will start at Revolution Square with the huge portraits of Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos. We will pass by the University of Havana, we will cross the “modern” district of Vedado with the central Copelia square and the famous Malecón beach avenue, we will end up at the Capitol, a true copy of the one in Washington of the United States. Our tour changes pace and we enter Habana Vieja or Old Havana, a World Heritage Site and protected by Unesco since 1982, which is home to some of the finest colonial buildings in the Caribbean. We will be guided to the rum museum, where we will be offered a drink and we will visit the only Greek Orthodox church in the Caribbean, Agios Nikolaos. Next on foot we will see the Square of Saint Francis of Assisi (Plaza de San Francisco de Asís), the Old Square (Plaza Vieja) and Plaza de Armas. Entrance to the impressive Miniature of Old Havana (Maqueta de La Habana Vieja) measuring 48 square meters, accompanied by a sound show and a virtual display of the sunrise and sunset over the city and finally we will continue to the Cathedral Square (Plaza de la Catedral), the «temple» Templete and the Castillo de La Fuerza Real. Visit to the pirate fortress of El Moro, in a sentinel position at the entrance of the port and with a magnificent view. Then we will visit the biggest bazaar of the city. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

3rd Day

Full day excursion Vinales & Pinar del Rio

After breakfast we depart for the enchanting valley of Viñales in the westernmost province of Cuba, Pinar del Río, where the tobacco for the best cigars in the world is grown. Visit to a local cigar factory to see their processing up close. There the preparation for the manufacture of the internationally renowned cigars takes place, from the harvest to the final stage of packaging. Our walk in the Viñales Valley will be unforgettable: green velvety hills, known as mogotes that do not exist anywhere else in the world, rise from the valley, verdant and almost eerie... towering palm trees, waterfalls and underground caves with rivers compose an enchanting landscape. Visit to the huge Mural of Prehistory (Mural de La Prehistoria) and the Cave of the Indian (Cuevadel Indio) to cross by small boat its underground river. Meal at a local restaurant in a unique setting with live music. Upon returning to Havana, we will make a stop at the Los Jazmines observatory with its magnificent view of the entire Viñales Valley. Return to Havana and overnight stay.

4th Day

Havana (free day)

Breakfast and then a free day to use it as you wish... we will just «steal» some of your time, offering you an unrepeatable ride in antique cars in the lush, exotic forest of Havana. Visit the city's grand bazaar where you'll find jewelry and decorative objects made of wood, fruit and vegetable pits, crocodile skin and teeth, papier mache or clay, as well as art paintings. Walk through the narrow streets of the old town, drink a fresh juice from a “bomba fruit” (known to us as papaya) or “guayamba” to the sounds of a nostalgic son or bolero, and return to your hotel on foot along the famous Malecón promenade, gazing at the sunset and the sun disappearing into the sea in a feast of colors. Overnight stay.

5th Day

Havana – Guama – Bay of Pigs – Cienfuegos

Breakfast and departure for the Zapata Peninsula, the largest natural park in the Caribbean. In Guamá, there is the «Crocodile Breeding Farm» that we will visit. These animals, an important part of Cuba's wildlife, are protected in their natural environment from uncontrolled hunting. We continue our route through the Zapata mangrove forest, until we face the lacy shores of the Caribbean at the Bay of Pigs (known from the homonymous, failed landing of the Americans on the island in 1961). Stop at a marine oasis, where the crystal clear, blue-green waters form a natural “aquarium-pool”, a place ideal for swimming & snorkeling, for drinks at the open bar but also for sea food (meal is included). We continue to Cienfuegos, a city built in 1819 by French settlers and one of the most important ports in the country. Panoramic city guided tour with a stop at the central square with the white statue of the goddess Athena, dominated by the Tomas Terry Theatre, the Town Hall and the classic University building. On the sea, on the narrow peninsula of «Punta Gorda» we will visit the “Palaciodel Valle”, a highly impressive 100-year-old building, an architectural masterpiece, a combination of romantic, Gothic, Venetian and Moorish styles. From the cellars and imposing salons, we will ascend to the roof of the Palace, where the view of the city and the sunset is enchanting. Arrival at your hotel, accommodation in your rooms and free rest of the day. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

6th Day

Cienfuegos – Dolphinarium – Trinidad

Breakfast. We start our day with a visit to the Dolphinarium, where we will watch an impressive show with dolphins that will captivate us. Optionally (extra charge), those with adrenaline reserves and extra courage, swim and literally dance with these magnificent sea creatures – a unique experience! We continue to traditional, colonial Trinidad, a city founded by the Spanish at the beginning of the 16^th century, declared a world heritage site by Unesco in 1986. Visit to the central square (Plaza Mayor), lined with colonial buildings, to the «Museum of Colonial Architecture» and in the traditional cafe La Canchánchara, where we will enjoy the local drink of rum, honey and lemon that the colonialists gave to the slaves to get strength. Free time to stroll through the picturesque cobbled streets with the colorful shops or to shop at the outdoor markets. Then we return to the hotel and have dinner. Overnight stay.

7th Day

Cienfuegos – El Nicho – Hanabanilla – Santa Clara – Varadero

Breakfast. Departure for the most impressive waterfalls of the island (El Nicho) in the heart of the green Escambray mountain range. Swim in its crystal clear waters that form small, natural ponds –on three different levels– adorned by mother, mountain nature and goddess from the nearby bewitching observatory. A short distance away, we will board a boat for a boating/exploration and meal at the magnificent Lake Hanabanilla, surrounded by the exotic vegetation of the Escambray range, home to colorful birds and rare amphibians. We continue to the city of “Che Guevara”, Santa Clara, a city that was directly associated with the great revolutionary. Visit to Che's Mausoleum and Museum, in Leoncio Vidal Park. At the entrance to the mausoleum dominates the imposing bronze statue of the Comandante, about 7 meters high, with a gun in his hand (the statue was placed so that it faces south, that is, towards Latin America, as a symbol of Che's vision of a pan-American revolution against Imperialism). Moments of Che Guevara's life and actions are presented in reliefs, while his last letter to Fidel Castro is engraved in its entirety in a special inscription. Today's unforgettable day will end on the magnificent beach of Varadero (or another place of your choice – see below). Arrival, check-in at the hotel and dinner (note that all meals and local drinks at your hotel in Varadero are included in the price). Overnight stay.

8th Day

Varadero (free day) – Optional Catamaran Cruise to Cayo Blanco

Free day to enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba. Various optional water activities are offered, or you can take a stroll through the local bazaar or visit the Dolphinarium. We recommend a catamaran cruise to Cayo Blanco (or else white islet) – a green island with golden sand and an exotic beach with crystal clear turquoise waters! Stop en route at a coral reef where you will be given time and equipment (masks, snorkels and flippers) to explore the reef and the colorful underwater nature around it. In Cayo Blanco you will have time to swim or sunbathe. A buffet meal of fresh fish, lobster and other seafood is included. Return to Varadero with rum, salsa and lots of fun and dancing! (note that all meals and local drinks at your hotel in Varadero are included in the price). Overnight stay.

9th Day

Varadero – Havana Airport – Return flight

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning for a final swim. Meal depending on your departure time. Next we depart with the bittersweet taste of the return to Havana airport, from where we will take our return flight.

10th Day
