Tour Plan

1

1st Day

Athens – Amman

Meeting at the airport and fly to Amman. Arrival at Amman airport (the ancient Philadelphia). Transfer to our hotel, arrangement in the rooms. Dinner and overnight stay.

2nd Day

Amman (city tour) – Jerash – Ajloun – Amman

After our breakfast, departure for the Amman tour. We will visit the Archaeological Museum, the Greco-Roman theater and the Hellenistic Acropolis. Then we will depart for a guided tour of the best preserved Greco-Roman city in the world, the Pompeii of the East as it is called by Historians. Guided tour of ancient Antioch where we will admire the triumphal Arch, the Hippodrome, the Gate and the Market, Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Zeus, the Nymphaeum, the Temple of Artemis and the theater. Our next stop is the Ajloun castle where the Arab-Islamic architecture of the 12th century is presented before us in all its glory. Return to Amman, dinner and overnight stay.

3rd Day

Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Little Petra (Beida) – Petra

After our morning, departure via the National Highway of the Kings. We will visit the city of Madaba with its beautiful mosaics, where the oldest map for the exit to the Holy City of Jerusalem is found on the floor of the monastery of St. George. Then we will reach Mount Nembo where, according to tradition, the tomb of Moses is located and from there we will admire the wonderful view of the landscape with the Jordan River and the Dead Sea in the background. From there departure for Petra. En route visit to Little Petra (Beida). Arrival at our hotel. Arrangement in the rooms, dinner and overnight stay.

4th Day

Petra – Wadi Rum

After breakfast, departure for the guided tour of the archaeological site of Petra (the rock-cut city, the treasury). And if there was no other place of interest in Jordan, it would be even more worthwhile to travel to this country, thanks to Petra, the well-hidden carved city inside the huge rocks. You are dazzled by the sight of it as it looks unreal, as if from a dream. We continue our tour by visiting the archaeological site of Petra, where in the wider area are the ruins with the hundred temples, the Treasury, the royal palaces, the Roman theaters and houses, the Hydria Monument, the Corinthian tomb. Then we depart for the Wadi Rum desert. Arrival and check-in at the camp, dinner and overnight stay.

5th Day

Wadi Rum – Jeep Safari – Aqaba

After breakfast we depart for a safari in specially designed vehicles in the Wadi Rum desert, the country of Lawrence of Arabia as it is called, where we will be enchanted by the impressive landscapes, with the vast deserts and the huge rocky masses of Petraia Arabia that emerge from the sand and present an extremely imposing spectacle. The unique program in the Greek market with a 4-hour safari and visit. The 4-hour tour gives us the opportunity to explore the most famous sights of the beautiful Wadi Rum desert. We will use our specially designed open-back vehicle to take us to the amazing Khazali Canyon and its ancient inscriptions, the Red Sand Dune with a stunning view of the desert, Lawrence's source, the Little Arch and the Um Fruth rock bridge and the French fortress that offer amazing photo opportunities. At all locations there is time to wander, explore, meet, ask questions of the Bedouin guide and take beautiful photos. Once we finish, we depart for Aqaba. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

6th Day

Aqaba – Bethany – Dead Sea

After our breakfast, we will visit the Baptism site of Jesus in Bethany. Then we will be transferred to our hotel at the Dead Sea. Check-in at the hotel. Free time for rest and relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay.

7th Day

Dead Sea – Desert Castles – Amman

Breakfast and we begin our return to Amman. Stop at the desert castles that have been built in the desert since the early 8th century by the Ummayad Caliphs. Visit three of the most important castles (Qasr): Kharanah, Amra & Azraq. Arrival in Amman. Check-in at our hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

8th Day

Amman – Athens

After our breakfast, we will be transferred to Amman airport to catch our flight back to Athens.
