Barcelona
Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain. Today it is the second most important city of the Spanish state in terms of population and economy after Madrid. Its metropolitan area has a population of 5 million, of which 4.5 million live in particular in 36 municipalities in the urban area, making it the largest metropolis in the wider Mediterranean area. Barcelona is one of the most desirable cities for weekend tourism in Europe and has a good quality of life. Rich cultural life (the city’s children are Salvador Dali, Juan Miro, Anthony Gaudi and for a while Pablo Picasso), the Mediterranean climate, great entertainment opportunities (many bars, good clubs) and entertainment (some very good museums such as MNAC and MACBA) and good jobs. For years, it has been considered one of the most developed cities in Europe, making the most of its visibility during the 1992 Olympics, which it has organized with great success. It also has a very good metro network that will surely be your basic method of transportation during your visit. The weather is Mediterranean with soft wet winters and sunny dry summers.

1st Day
Athens – Barcelona
Flight from Athens to Barcelona. Arrival and departure directly for a first acquaintance with the city through a panoramic ride with our bus. We start from Montjuic and the Olympic Stadium and make a stop to enjoy an amazing panoramic view over the city, at the MNAC. Next we pass by Plaza España, Gran Via and the famous Passeig de Gracia with the Square of Discord where Gaudi's Casa Batlló is located and a little further up we will see Casa Milá by the same architect. We then head to visit Gaudi's Park Güell designated by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. After the visit, we continue to the Olympic Port and Barceloneta where Port Vell, today's luxury yacht marina, is located. Arrival at the hotel and check-in. Afternoon free.

2nd Day
Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for today's tour. Today we will visit two typical examples of Catalan Modernism from its two main exponents, Monuments and both Unesco World Heritage Sites. We will start first with the Hospital de la Santa creu i Sant Pau by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the largest complex of Catalan modernist buildings that until a few years ago continued to function as a hospital and is now undergoing renovation with most of the buildings already renovated. Then on foot and through Gaudi Avenue we will end up visiting Gaudi's masterpiece, which is still under construction but at the same time functions as a temple and can be visited, the Sagrada Familia. Return to the hotel and free afternoon.

3rd Day
Barcelona – Figueres – Girona
Breakfast and we start for the birthplace of the great catalan painter Figueres! After a beautiful journey of almost 2 hours crossing forests of pines and poplars we arrive at the museum of theater of the eccentric painter Salvador Dali. The most visited museum in Catalonia and the third largest in Spain includes the largest collection of Dali works in the world! In a dream building we will admire paintings from the first years of his life until his death! Getting out of the museum also enjoy the permanent jewelry exhibition consisting of 37 unique jewels designed by the multi-talented painter! After a coffee in the historic center of Figueres depart for the city of Girona where we will admire the Cathedral of Saint Mary with the largest aisle of Gothic temple in the world! We will also walk to the Jewish suburb, one of the best preserved in Europe where the Sephardic, the Jews of Spain stayed until 1492! Girona with Onyar River and the beautiful painted houses on the banks of the river that resemble Florence. Return to Barcelona. For the evening, we suggest you watch Flamengo in its homeland and indulge in its intense and passionate rhythm.

4th Day
Barcelona (free day) – Athens
After breakfast, we leave our luggage at the hotel and have free time to enjoy the city. We return late in the afternoon to be transferred to Barcelona Airport for our return to Athens.
